Kerr County is located 65 miles northwest of San Antonio, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on Interstate 10. We serve over 1100 square miles of hills, plains, and the headwaters valley of the Guadalupe River. Our 119 Sheriff's Office staff, including 33 patrol deputies, serves over 50,000 residents of Kerr County.
Our office has served Kerr County with professionalism for more than 135 years. We administer the Kerr County Jail, while working with local and state jurisdictions to prevent crime and protect the public.

We strive to be a model of law enforcement excellence by ensuring public safety through the implementation of professional and proactive law enforcement services in order to protect life and property loss, while also focusing on abating the fears concerning criminal operations.
